Academy of Inventive Design & Technology (Academy IDT) brings to life the finest technical drawings by South Africa’s aspiring imaginations. This belief — to enable young minds with the skill to draught the present, and re-design the future — is held by all members of Academy IDT’s staff, and so too must be held by all potential graduates. Academy IDT’s combined years of experience, accumulated by its founders, directors, advisors and lecturers amounts to innumerable years of insight into both the educational and industrial aspects of draughting. Whilst maintaining a relevance to the world of work, Academy IDT is proud to say that its students write national examinations at accredited centres — a process through which national qualifications are awarded.

The Full-Time Course: Multidisciplinary Design and Draughting
ACADEMY OF INVENTIVE DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY offers a one-year tertiary educational programme in draughting.

* National exams are available for these subjects. On successful achievement, the student will earn his/her qualification from the Department of Education, titled, National Certificate: Multidisciplinary Drawing Office Practice. These nationally-accredited subjects make up the minimum academic requirement expected of Academy IDT’s students. Students will be expected to pass additional modules and curricula, as well as a work-ethic evaluation in order to earn the Academy IDT certificate: Multi Disciplinary Design and Draughting.
